Resumen

CableDuel no envía tus mediciones ni ningún dato personal a ninguna parte. Todo lo que la aplicación mide se queda en tu teléfono.

  • No tiene servidores propios.
  • Ni cuentas.
  • Ni analítica.
  • Ni publicidad.
  • Ni identificadores de seguimiento.

Solo se comunica con los servicios de Google Play, para gestionar la compra de CableDuel Pro.

Qué datos maneja la aplicación

CableDuel lee del propio sistema Android, mientras el teléfono está enchufado:

  • Corriente, voltaje y porcentaje de la batería
  • Temperatura de la batería y presión térmica del procesador
  • Tipo de conector y si la pantalla está encendida
  • Los nombres que tú escribes para identificar tus cables y cargadores

Además guarda si tienes CableDuel Pro desbloqueado y un identificador de instalación: un código aleatorio que se genera en el teléfono al instalar la app, no está ligado a tu dispositivo ni a tu cuenta, y solo sirve para el código de desbloqueo manual de Pro.

Todo ello se guarda en el almacenamiento privado de la aplicación, al que ninguna otra app puede acceder. La aplicación no lo envía a ninguna parte.

Permisos y para qué se usan

Permiso Para qué
FOREGROUND_SERVICE y FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE Medir una carga completa mientras el teléfono está enchufado. Sin esto, Android detiene la medición al salir de la app y las sesiones quedan a medias.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS Mostrar la notificación de la carga en curso, que además mantiene viva la medición.
REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS Pedirte permiso para que Android no suspenda la medición durante una carga larga. Solo se te pide; tú decides.
INTERNET Únicamente para hablar con Google Play y comprobar si has comprado CableDuel Pro. No se usa para nada más.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE Saber si hay conexión antes de preguntar a Google Play, para no quitarte Pro por error cuando estás sin red.
com.android.vending.BILLING Lo exige la biblioteca de facturación de Google Play para poder ofrecerte la compra de Pro.
WAKE_LOCK y RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED Los declara automáticamente WorkManager, una biblioteca de Android incluida en la app. Esta versión no programa ninguna tarea con ella.

Compras y conexiones con Google Play

CableDuel Pro se desbloquea con una compra única en Google Play.

  • Google Play procesa el pago y lo gestiona según la política de privacidad de Google. CableDuel no ve ni almacena datos de tarjeta ni de facturación.
  • Lo único que la aplicación pregunta a Google Play es si tu cuenta ha comprado CableDuel Pro, y solo lo hace con la app en pantalla.
  • La biblioteca de facturación de Google Play, que la app incluye para gestionar la compra, envía por su cuenta datos técnicos de funcionamiento a Google. Esa información la gestiona Google según su política; CableDuel no la recibe ni la controla.
  • Tus mediciones no se envían ni a Google Play ni a ninguna otra parte.

Copias de seguridad de Android

Si tienes activada la copia de seguridad de Android, el propio sistema puede incluir los datos de CableDuel en la copia de tu cuenta de Google y restaurarlos en un teléfono nuevo. Esa copia la gestiona Google dentro de tu cuenta y CableDuel no tiene acceso a ella. Puedes desactivarla desde los ajustes de copia de seguridad de Android.

Exportar e importar el histórico

Desde Datos → Exportar histórico puedes guardar tus perfiles, sesiones y lecturas en un archivo zip con CSV. Tú eliges dónde se guarda: en el teléfono o en cualquier otro sitio que te ofrezca el selector de archivos de Android, incluido un servicio en la nube si lo tienes instalado. La aplicación no envía ese archivo a ninguna parte por su cuenta, y el archivo no incluye el identificador de instalación ni el estado de Pro.

Ese archivo queda bajo tu control: no se borra al desinstalar la app y, si lo guardas en la nube, lo gestiona ese servicio. Importar un histórico solo añade lo que no estaba; nunca borra ni sustituye lo que ya tienes.

Si nos escribes

Si pides ayuda desde la aplicación, por ejemplo porque has pagado Pro y sigue bloqueada, se abre tu aplicación de correo con un mensaje ya redactado que incluye el identificador de instalación, la versión de la app, el resultado de la última consulta a Google Play y el idioma. Tú decides si lo envías y qué añades.

Usamos tu dirección de correo y lo que nos cuentes solo para responderte y resolver la incidencia, y no lo compartimos con nadie.

Borrado de datos

Todo lo que la aplicación guarda en el teléfono se borra por completo al desinstalarla, salvo lo que ya esté en una copia de seguridad de Android de tu cuenta y los archivos que hayas exportado. Desde dentro de la app puedes borrar sesiones y perfiles individualmente en cualquier momento.

La compra de Pro queda registrada en tu cuenta de Google Play. Si nos has escrito y quieres que borremos esos correos, pídenoslo en la dirección de contacto.

Menores

CableDuel no está dirigida a menores de 13 años y no recoge datos de nadie, con independencia de su edad.

Cambios en esta política

La versión 1.1.0 añadió la compra de CableDuel Pro con Google Play y, con ella, el permiso de acceso a Internet. Esta política describe esa versión.

Cualquier cambio se reflejará aquí con su fecha.

Summary

CableDuel sends neither your measurements nor any personal data anywhere. Everything it measures stays on your phone.

  • No servers of its own.
  • No accounts.
  • No analytics.
  • No advertising.
  • No tracking identifiers.

It only talks to Google Play's services, to handle the CableDuel Pro purchase.

What data the app handles

While your phone is plugged in, CableDuel reads from Android itself:

  • Battery current, voltage and charge percentage
  • Battery temperature and processor thermal pressure
  • Connector type and whether the screen is on
  • The names you type to identify your own cables and chargers

It also stores whether CableDuel Pro is unlocked and an installation identifier: a random code generated on the phone when the app is installed. It is not tied to your device or your account, and it is only used for Pro's manual unlock code.

All of this is stored in the app's private storage, which no other app can read. The app does not send it anywhere.

Permissions and why they are needed

Permission Why
FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE To measure a full charge while the phone is plugged in. Without it, Android stops measuring when you leave the app and sessions are left half-recorded.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS To show the charge in progress, which also keeps the measurement alive.
REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS To ask your permission for Android not to suspend measurement during a long charge. You decide.
INTERNET Only to talk to Google Play and check whether you have bought CableDuel Pro. It is used for nothing else.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE To know whether there is a connection before asking Google Play, so Pro is not taken away by mistake while you are offline.
com.android.vending.BILLING Required by Google Play's billing library so that Pro can be offered for purchase.
WAKE_LOCK, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED Declared automatically by WorkManager, an Android library included in the app. This version does not schedule any task with it.

Purchases and connections to Google Play

CableDuel Pro is unlocked with a one-time purchase on Google Play.

  • Google Play processes the payment and handles it under Google's privacy policy. CableDuel never sees or stores card or billing details.
  • The only thing the app asks Google Play is whether your account has bought CableDuel Pro, and it only asks while the app is on screen.
  • Google Play's billing library, which the app includes to handle the purchase, sends technical operational data to Google on its own. Google handles that information under its own policy; CableDuel neither receives nor controls it.
  • Your measurements are not sent to Google Play or anywhere else.

Android backups

If Android backup is turned on, the system itself may include CableDuel's data in the backup of your Google account and restore it on a new phone. That backup is managed by Google inside your account and CableDuel has no access to it. You can turn it off in Android's backup settings.

Exporting and importing your history

From Data → Export history you can save your cables, sessions and readings to a zip file with CSV. You choose where it is saved: on the phone or anywhere else Android's file picker offers, including a cloud service if you have one installed. The app never sends that file anywhere on its own, and the file does not include the installation identifier or your Pro status.

That file is under your control: it is not deleted when you uninstall the app and, if you save it to the cloud, it is handled by that service. Importing a history only adds what was not already there; it never deletes or replaces what you have.

If you write to us

If you ask for help from inside the app, for example because you paid for Pro and it is still locked, your email app opens with a pre-written message that includes the installation identifier, the app version, the result of the last Google Play check and the language. You decide whether to send it and what to add.

We use your email address and whatever you tell us only to reply and solve the issue, and we do not share it with anyone.

Deleting your data

Everything the app stores on your phone is removed when you uninstall it, except anything already in an Android backup of your account and any files you have exported. Inside the app you can delete individual sessions and cables at any time.

The Pro purchase stays recorded in your Google Play account. If you have written to us and want those emails deleted, ask us at the contact address.

Children

CableDuel is not directed at children under 13, and collects no data from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

Version 1.1.0 added the CableDuel Pro purchase through Google Play and, with it, the Internet permission. This policy describes that version.

Any change will be recorded here with its date.
